截金技法


金箔を焼き合わせ細く直線状に切ったものを、筆と接着剤を用いて貼ることによって文様を表現する仏像等に施す日本の伝統技法。

Kirigane Technique is the Japanese traditional technique
often applied for the Buddhist statues. Design patterns are expressed by pasting the strips of fired gold leaves.
